ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ben began writing stories in kindergarten. His first was a tragic alien romance that served as a creation myth for the sun and the moon. He grew up in Southeast Asia, spending grade school in Taipei, Jakarta and Bangkok. In college, he produced, co-directed and starred in Killer Toaster from Hell, a feature-length script that he wrote in three days on a dare. He joined the WGA West in 2015 and began directing short films in 2018. His directorial debut received an award from horror icon Joe Bob Briggs and his work has since been featured at over a dozen festivals, including the Academy Award-qualifying Nashville Film Festival.
